How do I unlock the Adventure Pack?

The Adventure Pack adds the boat, spaceship, submarine and fire truck. It's one purchase, and you only buy it once.

1. On the home screen (the garage), find the round Grown-ups button in the top right corner. It shows two people.
2. Press and hold it for about a second, until the ring around it fills.
3. Answer the grown-up question.
4. On the Adventure Pack card, tap Unlock. The button shows the price in your currency.

The four vehicles unlock right away. They also unlock on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account; if they don't show up there, use Restore Purchases.

I already bought it. How do I get it back?

Usually you don't need to do anything: the pack unlocks on its own on any device signed in to the Apple Account that bought it. If it doesn't, open the Grown-ups page (as above) and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is online and signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account that made the purchase.

Can my family share the Adventure Pack?

Yes. The Adventure Pack works with Family Sharing. If your family uses Family Sharing with purchase sharing turned on, everyone in the family gets the pack on their own devices at no extra cost. If it doesn't appear on a family member's device, open the Grown-ups page there and tap Restore Purchases.

What's the grown-ups question?

It's a parental gate that keeps little ones out of purchases and settings. After you press and hold the Grown-ups button, the app asks a multiplication written in words, such as "What is three times four?". Type the answer (12) on the number pad.

A wrong answer brings a new question. After three misses the gate closes, and it also closes by itself after a minute without a tap. Children who can't read yet can't answer it, and that's the point.

For extra peace of mind, you can also turn off in-app purchases entirely with Screen Time's Content & Privacy Restrictions.

What happens with Ask to Buy?

If Ask to Buy is on for your child's Apple Account, tapping Unlock sends a request to the family organizer, and the card shows "Waiting for approval (Ask to Buy)". As soon as the organizer approves, the pack unlocks. Nobody needs to buy it again.

Why does a vehicle wobble when my child taps it?

The boat, spaceship, submarine and fire truck are in the Adventure Pack. Until it's unlocked, their cards show a padlock, and tapping one just plays a sound and makes the card wobble. Your child never sees a pop-up, a price or a sales pitch.

How do we get back to the home screen?

In a vehicle, press and hold the house button in the top left corner for about a second, until its ring fills. Like the Grown-ups button, it needs a hold, so toddlers don't leave by accident.

What does the "?" button do?

It starts a picture-only tour of the cockpit. A spotlight and a cartoon hand show one control at a time, starting with how to get the vehicle going, and doing what the hand shows moves the tour along. The X button ends it.

Which devices does it work on?

iPad, iPhone and iPhone Duo, with iOS 18 or later.

• iPad: plays in any orientation.
• iPhone: plays in landscape, so turn the phone sideways.
• iPhone Duo: fold it or open it, and the cockpit refits itself to the screen.

There's no sound, or it's too loud

• The Ring/Silent switch doesn't mute it. Tractor Playground is a toy, so like music and video apps it keeps playing when the Ring/Silent switch (or Silent mode) is on. To make it quieter, use the volume buttons, or choose Quiet, Medium or Off under Sound on the Grown-ups page.
• No sound at all? Check that Sound on the Grown-ups page isn't set to Off, turn the volume up with the buttons on the side of the device, and make sure the sound isn't going to Bluetooth headphones or a speaker in another room.
• It's already gentle. Tractor Playground is capped below full volume, and a limiter keeps lots of sounds at once from getting too loud.

What is 3D tilt? Can I turn it off?

When the device turns or tips, the world outside the windshield shifts a little behind the dashboard, like the view through a real window. It's on unless you switch it off on the Grown-ups page (the change applies the next time a vehicle opens). It's also off whenever Reduce Motion is on, in Settings › Accessibility › Motion.

How do I keep my toddler in the app?

Guided Access, built into iPhone and iPad, keeps the device in one app until you end it.

1. Open Settings › Accessibility › Guided Access and turn it on.
2. Tap Passcode Settings and set a Guided Access passcode.
3. Open Tractor Playground, triple-click the side or top button (or the Home button, on devices that have one), and tap Start.
4. To finish, triple-click the same button again and enter your passcode.

When you start Guided Access, its Options also let you set a time limit.

Does it need Wi-Fi or cellular data?

No. Everything plays offline, so it's fine on a plane or in the car. Buying or restoring the Adventure Pack needs a connection; after that, the pack works offline too.

Does the app collect data or show ads?

No. There are no ads, no tracking, no accounts, no analytics and no links out of the app, and it collects no data. The privacy policy has the details.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds go through Apple too. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
